Site Seeing 208 | 2025

It’s considered as one of the most important sites of the Reformation: Hartenfels Castle in Torgau, Saxony. It’s currently undergoing renovation of its facade, to preserve this historically significant early Renaissance masterpiece for posterity. The work is made possible by 3,800 m² of work scaffolding, in load class 4, by Beier – a company from the region that specialises in scaffolding construction. Quick to build and optimally adapted to the specific conditions using the modular access system AGS. With more safety.
- Fast assembly and efficient logistics thanks to lightweight and compact standard parts
- More safety during assembly and dismantling of the work scaffolding, which is up to 36 metres high, thanks to two-part advancing side protection
- Flexible adjustment of the scaffolding width to 1.09 m, plus widening using an Allround inner bracket to reduce the distance from the wall in the case of recesses in the building
- Perfectly fitting and fully decked corner solutions, including bracket bay with U-corner deck
- Integration of AGS platform stairtowers for safer and faster vertical access in the scaffolding – even when carrying work material
- Substructure made of Allround Scaffolding parts for easy adjustment to the ground
The structured facade of this magnificent historical building with projections and recesses, in addition to the sloping ground, required adjustments to match the geometry. Thanks to the combinability of AGS with the proven Allround Scaffolding equipment, on-site requirements were implemented with a single system: the substructure, for example, was built using standard Allround parts, while Allround brackets reduced the distance from the wall wherever required.
