Protective scaffolding was needed during the construction of the building shell for an apartment complex with a timber-hybrid design. This scaffolding was to be erected section-by-section as the building work progressed. During this process, the Modular Access System AGS ensured not only rapid assembly and dismantling, but also two-part advancing side protection – both inside and out. An AGS platform stairtower also guaranteed rapid, safety-enhanced vertical access within the scaffolding. Even with working materials. A system-oriented solution.
- Rapid assembly and dismantling of the protective scaffolding thanks to the lightweight components, direction-independent assembly and bolt-free connection technology
- Enhanced occupational safety due to two-part advancing guardrail assembly, including for the required inner guardrails
- Simple compliance with site requirements using standard parts: for example by integrating an AGS platform stairtower – also with advancing guardrail assembly
- Use of Layher standard decks from the existing material stocks
- Preliminary 3D planning with LayPLAN CAD simplified the construction of scaffolding around the trapezoidal structure, including the adjoining building
- Support from Layher’s expert assemblers during first-time use of the AGS system
An inner guardrail was required for the protective scaffolding for the building shell of an apartment complex.
Using the Modular Access System AGS, the team from KA + W benefited from both inner and outer two-part side protection – with both handrail and knee rail being installed in a single step.
