From a height of 36 metres, the Archangel Gabriel looks down onto Budapest’s much-visited Heroes’ Square. This messenger from Heaven is the crowning glory of the Millennium Monument, built in 1896, which dominates the wide square with its column and its colonnades. This structure, as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was for a time also swathed in Layher: inspection work made scaffolding necessary. For optimum adaptation of the work scaffolding to the Monument’s geometry, the on-site team responsible decided not only on detailed advance planning in 3D, but also on the high flexibility of Allround Scaffolding.
A solution with a system.
- Advance planning in 3D using LayPLAN CAD for precise adaptation to the existing geometry, enabling optimum access to the structure – for safer and more efficient work
- LayPLAN MATERIALMANAGER facilitated transport of scaffolding components to the heavily frequented square thanks to dependable material lists
- Economical assembly of the planned work scaffolding using versatile Allround Scaffolding in Lightweight technology
- Simple bridging inside the scaffolding, in the area of the base and the column, using Layher beam solutions: from lattice beams to the Allround Bridging System – depending on load requirements
Detailed advance planning in 3D of the work scaffolding using LayPLAN CAD permitted exact adaptation to the complex geometry – enabling optimum access to the Millennium Memorial. That ensures safer and also more efficient working.
